Scientist and author, Richard Dawkins is well-known for his atheist beliefs and criticism of creationist religions. Richard Dawkins is a British ethologist, a scientist who studies animal behaviors. He earned his degree in zoology from Oxford University and began his early career as a professor’s assistant there before moving to the University of California, Berkeley in 1967. He is most well-known for his first book, published in 1976,  The Selfish Gene , where he describes how natural selection takes place at a genetic level.
